Ignite Christian Academy asked me to create 2-3 senior t-shirt designs for their webstore. Designing for screen printed t-shirts presents a specific set of challenges to overcome. The best designs keep these factors in mind:

• 1-2 ink colors max
• versatile ink color ideal for multiple shirt colors
• no small elements or type

My first step designing t-shirts is reviewing those parameters. My process then progressed to researching senior shirts, sketching thumbnail senior 2023 logos, and then digitally experimenting with typefaces, copy, and compositions. The final designs have distinct styles (traditional, script, athletic), catering to a wide range of personal style.
